The School of Engineering is housed in a modern 62,000-square-foot complex. Students hone their engineering skills in computer-based classrooms and six state-of-the-art laboratories. All computers in Engineering were recently replaced or upgraded to the latest technology available. Testing stations exist for robotics, electromagnetics, metals fabrication, and tooling.

Additionally, construction of the university's new Science and Engineering Building was completed in Spring 2007. The facility features new laboratories, specialized classrooms, a materials-testing system, study rooms, and a 150-seat auditorium. Labs in the facility include equipment and devices for students to study basic mechanical, electrical, electromagnetic, solid state, optical and nonlinear phenomena; digital and analog solid state electronic devices; the design and fabrication of devices with imbedded microprocessors; digital signal processing; and composite materials. Located on Mercer's 130-acre Macon campus, the School of Engineering is situated among the University's College of Liberal Arts, Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, School of Education and School of Medicine.
