student organizations Mercer Environmental specialization students are active and leaders in a host of campus activities ranging from student government, to intercollegiate athletics, to professional organizations. Our EVE students have participated in the following intercollegiate sports: men's basketball, women's volleyball, men's soccer, and men's tennis. EVE students have formed a student chapter of the Water Environment Federation. The chapter has been involved with the Ocmulgee River Cleanup and River Keeper's Water Quality Sampling and Monitoring. They are in the process of forming a student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Many are members and officers of Mercer's National Society of Professional Engineers student chapter, Tau Beta Pi: the engineering honorary society, and other professional, service and social organizations, including Students for Environmental Action (SEA). |
