industrial SPECIALIZATION students

Mercer engineering students commonly cite the personal attention they receive as students as one of the driving forces behind both their successes in college and in industry following graduation. Small class sizes mean that students receive individual attention and mentoring from their professors, and unlike at large universities, classes are taught by professors, not teaching assistants, giving students the benefit of instructors with real-world experience as well as Ph.D.s.

This personal attention begins in the classroom and extends to include support of student involvement in research opportunities, student organizations, and participation in regional and national conferences. Students are able to gain practical experience while pursuing their degrees, making them marketable employees upon graduation.
