As an electrical engineer at Mercer, you’ll receive the necessary foundation to jump start your career after graduation. Computer engineering students learn the engineering behind a variety of systems that operate in real-time and have a computer embedded as either a component or control. You’ll explore 4 fascinating areas of study – electronics fundamentals, general engineering fundamentals, engineering design, and computer systems principles – each of which will challenge you to develop new ways of thinking.

Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

  • B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering — Be prepared to directly impact lives via the design and development of computers, communication systems, control systems, and power distribution systems.
  • B.S.E. in Computer Engineering — In this rapidly expanding field, learn the fundamentals of electronics, general engineering and design, and computer systems principles.
  • M.S.E. in Computer Engineering — Expand on your knowledge from your undergraduate studies and complete 30 credit hours.
  • M.S.E. in Electrical Engineering — From digital communications to design and signal processing, choose from a variety of topics and develop a coherent program focused on a specific area while taking courses in additional content areas to gain supporting knowledge.
  • M.S.E. Software Engineering — Learn to conduct a software development or maintenance project for its entire life cycle, while developing high-quality design using refactoring and design patterns. Additionally, learn to code properly and define, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • M.S. Software Systems — Learn to conduct a software development or maintenance project for its entire life cycle, while developing high-quality design using refactoring and design patterns. Additionally, learn to code properly and define, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • M.S. in Cybersecurity — Mercer’s new M.S. in Cybersecurity program is a collaborative effort among the School of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, and Center for Professional Advancement. Study cybersecurity for business, cybersecurity operations, embedded computer/IoT with cybersecurity, and software security.
