Michael Marcoux

Michael A. Marcoux returns to Mercer University, where he earned his M.S.E., and B.S.E., after teaching engineering in the central Georgia area.

Prior to joining Mercer, he worked as an Instructor in Central Georgia Technical College’s Engineering Technology Division and served as the Houston County Career Academy’s Dual Enrollment Instructor. Additionally, he had been an Adjunct Instructor at Mercer prior to joining the Industrial Engineering Department.

Research/Professional/Teaching Interests

Professor Marcoux’s research interests include rapid prototyping and projects in the Fab Lab. As a student, he spent time working on the 3D Yearbook and participated in Mercer on Mission South Korea as well as GoBabyGo events.

Professor Marcoux serves on the Houston County High School, Houston County Career Academy, and Central Georgia Technical College Engineering Advisory Councils. Furthermore, he is one of the lead mentors for robotics Team 3635, competing in the Peachtree District of FIRST Robotics.

Other Interests

In his free time, Professor Marcoux enjoys attending theatre, reading, watching movies, painting, and playing video games. Additionally, he watches football, baseball, and hockey.
