Department of Human-Centered Information Design and Technology
Meet Human-Centered Information Design and Technology
Welcome to the newly renamed Department of Human-Centered Information Design and Technology. We have updated our name to better reflect the advanced, real-world skills our students gain — preparing them to lead in technical communication, content design, user experience, and the technologies of tomorrow.
Uniquely positioned within the School of Engineering, the department is designed to equip students with knowledge in communication management, information design, instructional design, technical editing, usability, and web design.
Information designers translate complex pieces of information into user-friendly content with strategic design for effective and clear communication.
