Biomedical Specialization

Program Description:

The Biomedical specialization is a mix of traditional engineering topics, with a special aim toward modern medical applications. Included among these are medical devices such as pace makers and heart valves, diagnostic instrumentation such as doppler/ultrasonic imaging systems, and transport devices such as kidney dialysis units. The program also explores complex issues of ethics, cost containment, and communication.
